  Fagin exploited Nancy’s lover Bill Sikes to carry out his revenge. After finding out Nancy had leaked the gang’s information to help Oliver, Fagin distorted the facts to infuriate the violent Sikes, convincing him Nancy had betrayed him completely. Enraged, Sikes went back and killed Nancy savagely, fulfilling Fagin’s vengeful plan indirectly.
