Poor Loaves

Interesting story. The ending came unexpectedly. The woman really is a sympathetic woman and she would took the wrong signal and seemingly fell in love with a man he barely knew. The author really used his words and enriched the character by giving plenty details and sound evidence. From where I stand, I think she did nothing wrong but obviously she made a huge mistake to the man. I mean, what's wrong with putting some butter into the loaves of a man she seemed to admire. And what's wrong with the poor loaves?
