In order to go around the world, Phileas Fogg and Jean Passepartout go after the Mediterranean, the red sea, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, India, Singapore, Japan, the United States and other places, finally return to London by any means .Throughout the journey Phileas Fogg and Jean Passepartout has experience many challenges and dangers- chased by Fix, risked his life to save Aouda in India and so on. Finally, they returned to London and won the bet.
In the novel, the author show the greatest of Phileas Fogg and the courage of Jean Passepartout which make them to overcome many difficulties Through the words of his characters, he expressed his indignation against India's barbarous martyrdom system. Through the experience of know-it-all, I have shown my deep sympathy and indignation to the Chinese people caused by British opium poisoning. He also used the beatings of fix and fog at the San Francisco convention to mock the chaos of America's democratic elections. It’s a very creative novel and make readers’ spirit be caught in a marvelous travel.
