Grow in indepent and confident

During this semester, I read the book called Great Expectation. Before I read Great Expectation, I have watched the movie. I know it better after second reading. Great Expectation was written by Charles Dickens, one of the most popular writers of all the time, who wrote a lot of wonderful novels and created many best known characters in the English literature. Great Expectation told us a story about a boy named pip who experience something special and finally grow in confident and independent. When I finished reading, I get something from the novel. First, great expectation not only means the amount of money. In the novel saying and in my own opinion great expectation is happy family life, a great job , a further future and country developing. Something lead to happiness and you enjoy it and get something benefit from the expectation. For example, a college student without great parents background and his family don’t very rich, but he realizes his own dream with own effort. He studies hard and gets a great job or has his own business. He grows in confident and independent. On the contrary, some students are in a rich family. Some may waste money and at last they accomplish nothing. They don’t have the great expectation. All in all, the most important thing for us to seek great expectation is that we should always grow in confident and independent. Work for them and fight for them. Only when we make the efforts, can we get our own great expectation.
