The book review
Carrie__
After reading the book Around the World in 80 Days, I feel excited because of the wonderful plots in the book. My heart hooks up, with the plots ups and downs. I can’t help to share the book with you.
The book tells a story about a man called Fogg. Mr. Fogg made a bet with his friends that he would travel around the world and come back to London in 80 days. So he started his travel with his servant. Though people at that time didn’t think he could finish the journey because of the limit in technology, he overcame many difficulties and finally won the debt. He passed by the Suez Canal, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, YOK, San Francisco, New York, Liverpool and back to London. He showed his spirits during the journey which touches me.
First, his courage and determination impress me. He accepted the debt and calculated the time accurately. Finally, he succeeded. He used to be an inflexible British gentleman but he has the courage and confidence to do something he had never done before. He surprises me. Second, he showed his morality and virtue in the journey, which touches me most. He was under tied time limit, but he didn’t refuse to save others, though it would waste his time. Morality and justice are in his heart. I admire him.
“Truly, would you not for less than that make the tour around the world?” Thanks for taking me to travel around the world, Mr. Fogg and Mr. Jules Verne.
