Reading journal 1

At  the  beginning  of  the  story,  Pip  meets  a   escaped  convict.  Although  this  escaped  convict  makes  Pip  very  scared,  Pip  still  gives  him  the  food  he  needs  and  shows  mercy  to  him.  That's  the  beginning  of  the  great  expectations  for  Pip.     Through  Pip's  daily  life  in  his  childhood,  I  can  find  that  her  sister  is  an  ignorant  and  caustic  woman  who  always  complains  about  her  life  and  against  Pip  and  Joe.  Mind  you,  Joe  is  not  her  husband,  Pip  and  his  sister  are  just  live  in  Joe's  house.  Joe  is  quite  a  kind  and wisdom  blacksmith  although  he  doesn't  get  a  good  education.  He  always  protects  Pip,  also  plays  an  important  role  in  Pip's  growth  and  his  great  expectations
