This book gives us some wonderful chapters of several famous novels and also includes some short novels. There are some parts put into my mind and gives me some thought. In The Little Prince,the prince traveled to several planets.He met different adults such as king,drunk and businessman. However, they liked demanding other people, only care for money, ignored the practice,and hated themselves but didn't try them best to overcome it. Little prince thought adults are very queer and strange.In fact, human society really exist these phenomenons and also explode human beings' devil. We should take consideration of others and try to make the world a more wonderful place to live. And I believe that our tomorrow will more and more batter. In Sister Carrie, this book only show me the scene when sister Carrie left her home for big city and the things in the train to the city.But I think Sister Carrie is talk about American Dream and sister Carrie's personal dreams.The American dream is the belief that a better life can be achieved only through hard work and unremitting struggle in the United States. It means that people must march towards prosperity through their own work, diligence, hard work, creativity and determination, rather than relying on the help of specific social classes and others. Meanwhile, sister Carrie's dream was to escape from poverty in the big city Chicago.But she did not through their own labor and diligence, but on their own flesh, do other people's mistress. This deprived Carrie's dream of its positive significance. Sister Carrie shows that money rules the world and human nature is distorted. Money can only meet people's material needs, but not happiness. It profoundly reveals that the American dream is just a lie. Therefore,we need to obey our human beings' kind nature and not only pursue the material but also the spirit.
