Chapter7

After a heavy crash shook the forest, some soldiers and horses appeared running through the wood. Soon, Alice got out of the wood and met the White King. The White King asked Alice if she had seen messengers along the road. He then introduced the two messengers to Alice, talking about their names, where they lived and their role of assisting the king in game. When one of the messengers arrived, the King ate a sandwich from the messenger’s bag. Meanwhile, in the town, the Lion and the Unicorn were fighting for the crown. An old song about the lion and the unicorn immediately occurred to her. Later, they paused and enjoyed some refreshments. Both the unicorn and the lion were surprised to see Alice—a human child who is alive and can talk. After eating a cake, the drums began.
