Fight Against No
"The Eighty-Day Tour Around the World" is one of the representative works of the famous French writer Jules Verne. It is a science fiction with real colors.
The book tells an interesting story: Fogg is betting on a friend at the club for 20,000 pounds – a week around the world in 80 days. Fogg and the housekeeper Wan Shitong rescued the new partner Olympic Games in India after the departure. The three people took the 19th century transportation and crossed the five continents. They used smart and brave, defeated the wind and lightning, and defeated the obstacles like Ficks. Finally, I traveled around the world for a week in eighty days.
The cost of Vogel travel is very expensive. It is almost 20,000 pounds for the troublemakers, plus the toll and living expenses, far more than 20,000 pounds. Why are they not at home and traveling outside? I think this is a kind of belief: It is Fogg‘s own saying that it takes 80 days a week to travel around the world. People often say “to do it”, Fogg is respectable. If people lie such a big lie, he will lose face. Therefore, Fogg is under pressure. Only believe in himself, believe in partners, and believe in traveling around the world for only 80 days a week. Along the way, no matter how difficult it is, it is impossible to stop Fogg and be overcome again and again by Fogg and his companions, just because Fogg has firm belief and confidence.
In our study and life, we often encounter setbacks and difficulties. Why not learn from Fogg? When you do something, you must have the confidence of success and the belief of not failing, and you will have the possibility of success. I remember that in my middle school one of the texts was particularly difficult to read, and I had to check it the next day. I watched it over and over again but still was unfamiliar. I was angrily discarding the textbook, but I thought about Fogg's firm beliefs and confidence. I decided to take this text well, and then I took the language and read the text while I remembered it. It didn't take long for me to get acquainted with this lesson. Although this is a small matter, it is enough to explain the truth.
In the face of setbacks and difficulties, we must have the confidence to overcome them and the belief that we will not fail. These are my thoughts and feelings about the "80 Days Around the World".
