Chapter 2-1

During the first several days in Yea river, Buck had received two lessons which were also inspirations to our daily lives. The first primordial event was witnessing a dog fight. His friend, Curly, sacrificed below the attack of wolfish huskies. The wolf manner of fighting left he a deep impression. Through the tragedy, Buck had learned that there was imperative need to be constantly alerted in a world without civilization and never let yourself be decived by appearances since these huskies were not half so large as Curly. The second lesson was respecting everyone with diverse features. Buck met some new friends including friendly and excessive good nature Billie, sour and introspective Joe, Sol-leks which hated others approaching his blind side and so on. Unlike the bully Spitz Buck was kind and respected everyone, which laid the foundation of his later leadership. In our daily lives, students from various regions definitely have cultural differences. We should respect each other so that we can build a harmonious relationship.
