According to the ending of the novel, Tarrou was dead for the plague and Cottard was mad, and all of the townsfolk seemed to forget those people they loved and lost-all like, dead or guilty. So do you have any regrets in terms of the ending especially Tattou who did a lot for others? Besides, what do you think the ending of this novel want to express？
