《Little women》is an autobiography novel written by American female
writer Louisa May Alcott. The book is not thrilling in content but yet
far from boring. The highlight of the book is sweet, pure and warm life
of a family made of a mother and her four daughters. The novel tells the
story that the father left home to join the army, and the four sisters
and their mother depend on each other and live a hard life. In the
process of getting along well with family, friends and neighbors and
helping each other, the sisters acquired a deep understanding of the
hardship and warmth of life, which made them gradually grow into mature
"Little Women".The four sisters are different in character,
but they do have something in common. They are all are full of love and
sympathy and are willing to support each other and get over difficulty
together. One of my favorite people is Joe. She is a determined and
sensible girl. When she learned that her father was ill and
hospitalized, she sold her precious beautiful long hair for money and
gave the money to her father. Although the money is not enough, it shows
that she can bravely take the responsibility of the family. I also want
to be like Joe. I hope that I can chase my own dream and fight for the
people I care about. I hope that I can have the courage to take
responsibility and pursue happiness. This book taught me to be confident
and hopeful even in difficult times. I hope I can really grow up to be a
qualified “little woman” like the four sisters in the book and lead a
happy life.
