SJJJIA
I take a different view. Although under the double oppression of
patriarchy and capitalism, Tess was destined to be the victim of the
society, which was also in line with the background of the traditional
society's restriction on women in Victorian era, and finally brought the
tragedy of Tess's death to an end in a quite reasonable way. But in my
opinion, the cause of Tess's tragedy is not only the persecution of the
society at that time, but also the character of her characters plays an
important role. I think the story is very upset and depress.
