Remember that we are not dealing with problems in mathematics, which
have a single correct solution that can be proved. In matters of
translation there can be no "proof," and the versions decided
on by the revisers may not always be the best in your opinion. In a
given example you may think the reviser was wrong to eliminate or retain
a particular element of the draft sentence. Or, confronting the same
problem of structure, you may have found a different way of turning the
sentence that is equally acceptable or, perhaps, preferable. In short,
you are not obliged to accept the versions proposed below. You should,
however, be able to defend your own.
