Through the reading of "China on the Tongue" and food culture,
I think the author mainly talked about the differences between Chinese
and Western food culture, Chinese and Western people's understanding of
food and young people's views on home cuisine. The story is skillfully
integrated into people's stories by describing the process of food
production. At the same time, the difficulty of obtaining food increases
the value of these foods in people's minds; At the same time, it also
tells us that only some people can afford food, which is one of the
reasons why some species are endangered. In a country's culture, the
diet culture should belong to the low-end culture. And "China on
the Tongue" and food culture also tell us the feelings between us
and food. People have a special liking for their own food, but young
people in big cities will not only be proud of their hometown food. The
author believes that if people think that their hometown food is best to
eat, it is easy to make a rash judgment - they think that unfamiliar
food is inferior. The author believes that diet culture is a key part of
cultural identity, which is engraved on us and also related to economy.
