My short comments

①In the first story the author was an American and he/she took part in the Live Below the Challenge, a global campaign that calls on people to eat on less than $1.50 a day in a show of solidarity with those living in poverty. Through this activity,he/she experienced the feeling of living in poverty ,which made him realise the difficulties of the poor.And his/her experience also taught us that it is guilty to waste food and it is our duty to value food. ②In the second story William Brown's story let me know what is Put aside prejudice, the Pacific Ocean is not a distance.By one decision, he was granted permanent residency in China. For a love, he recorded the great changes of reform and opening- up. He traveled in the mountains and rivers of the south of the Yangtze River and walked through the deserts of Ningxia.He is a witness to China's growth.He is no longer a visitor to us ,but a meeting of the minds with a shared belief.Let China's progress be more profound in our hearts.
