Feelings from Readin
英语2201饶慧连
China on the Tongue conveys profound Chinese culture to us from the
perspective of diet. It is mentioned that there are differences and
disputes between different food cultures. For example, preserved eggs,
in the eyes of foreigners, are bad eggs. In their eyes, it is strange
that we eat preserved eggs. They may even think that we eat bad eggs
because we are poor. From another point of view, westerners' love of
life will be cold meals like bread and sandwiches, while Chinese people
will prefer rice and cooked food. These are differences in diet, which
in the final analysis is cultural differences. When we face such
differences, we should choose to respect and understand.
