Estella's adoptive mother was abandoned by a man at the wedding, so she learned from a famous lawyer about a little girl estella who had been abandoned by her parents, and then took her to the manor to adopt herself. It's just a matter of unfinished business. She wants to control Estella. She wants to use estella to break a man's heart. So she calls in PIP the hero, the adopted son of a low-class blacksmith. The plan is to make PIP fall in love with estella, and then to separate them with class pressure of "You're the son of a little blacksmith, you don't deserve it," in order to achieve his desire for control and revenge against men.
