“Jane Eyre” is a novel created by Charlotte Bronte, a British woman writer, and it is a work with autobiographical color. The story tells the life of a girl. The girl's name is Jane. Her parents died when she was young and she was fostered by her aunt. She was abused for a long time when she was a little girl. Her aunt did not treat her as her own child. She allowed her children to bully Jane, and the servants at home looked down on her. After many unfair experiences, she did not choose to swallow the bullet because she was dependent on others, but chose to resist. Later, she was sent to the orphanage by her aunt, where the environment was bad. However, she did not give up on herself, but studied hard. After graduation, she became a tutor and bravely pursued true love.

At the beginning of the article, the writer described Jane Eyre's miserable childhood experience. When I read this description, I was very distressed by Jane Eyre. It is difficult to estimate the psychological shadow of a child caused by his aunt's behavior. We can also see the comparison of Jane Eyre's character before and after. She loves books very much and she has her own views of the books. At the early stage, she was positive and had hope for the future. But after all the unfair treatment, she became extreme and pessimistic.

Fortunately, this did not go through her life. She met her lifelong friend Helen Burns at the orphanage. She told Jane, “Yet it would be your duty to bear it, if you could not avoid it: it is weak and silly to say you cannot bear what it is your fate to be required to bear.” When Jane Eyre was addicted to the past and could not escape, her words made Jane Eyre have an epiphany. She was no longer taking radical ideas to deal with the many injustices that life had given her. She began to learn patience, seize every opportunity to study hard and strive for her future. In fact, if another person had such a painful experience, he might give up and let himself go. But Jane Eyre reflects the awakening of women's self-consciousness in the new era.

After she left the orphanage, she became a governess. She gained economic independence by virtue of her knowledge, and later she got a legacy, so that her life could develop in a better direction. At this time, she also met Mr. Rochestone, the love of her life. She bravely pursued true love and left resolutely after finding that he had a crazy wife, without indulging her feelings. Even though she knew that Rochester had become disabled because of saving people, she did not dislike him, but chose to marry him because of his inner beauty. She believed that love should be based on spiritual equality, not on social status, wealth and appearance. Only when men and women truly love each other can they get real happiness.

In a word, this novel portrays a woman who dares to resist and strive for freedom and equal status.
