reflection
林彩芝
Austin's "Pride and Prejudice" is a romantic and realistic
love story. As she said, it is a fine carving on two-inch ivory, and it
is Austin's masterpiece. This novel about marital problems is the most
popular of the author's works and her own favorite. The works vividly
reflect the conservative and isolated life of the British countryside
and the worldly conditions in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Love loses its beautiful color without romance. But in the novel, all
kinds of considerations about the right to be a family and wealth for
marriage are full of words.
