The core part of the story of the book "Time Machine" is the
description of the future life of above-ground and underground, and it
is obvious that compared with our modern normal humans, these two future
humans have undergone a great degradation, the above-ground people have
degenerated into very stupid and naïve little fools, and the underground
people have degenerated into half-human, half-beast savage creatures.
These two future humans look completely different, but there is a common
reason for the degradation of species that occurs in them, that is, they
have forgotten to think about what is going on, and they will not think
anymore. Man is a thinking animal, human beings are because they can
think and innovate, so that they can stand out among so many natural
things and constantly carry out civilization evolution. And the
above-ground and underground people in the future world in the story no
longer think, then they are no longer human beings in the true sense.
Human beings think, and that's why human beings exist. This may sound
ordinary, but only if you truly understand can you truly be considered a
qualified thought animal. What right do we have to give up this ability?
