Life is a journey of
指路lu
When Yao Ming first entered the NBA, Francis was the core of the Rockets
and the "boss" in Yao Ming's heart. Francis had an ill-fated
childhood. He never saw his father after he was born and was brought up
by his mother. Francis, whose family was poor, often played basketball
on the dilapidated basketball court near his home. It was not until he
was 9 years old that he saw the basketball rack for regular games. Much
as he wants to play here, he can't afford a pair of basketball shoes.
When he went to college, his mother's death gave Francis a fatal blow,
and he was once decadent and closed himself up. But Francis did not bow
to fate, relying on his own efforts to break out of his own sky in the
NBA, winning hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. However, in the
years after his retirement, Francis was associated with drug abuse,
alcoholism, theft and so on. There have been news reports that Francis
could face up to five years in prison for theft. In just a few years,
Francis's life fell from the peak to the abyss. Basketball has changed
his life trajectory, but he has made basketball a dream of his life. The
beautiful future is buried in his own hands, leaving only a sad sigh
when he is 60 years old. From the bottom to the top, and then to the
bottom, Francis's life trajectory is somewhat similar to that of Pip,
the protagonist in Dickens's novel Great Expectations, but Pip's ending
is not as bleak as Francis's. In Pip's story, we appreciate the ebb and
flow of fate, as if God is always deliberately playing tricks on
himself, knowing that fate has never favored anyone, everything is the
rhythm of nature. Dickens's Great Expectations tells the story of a
young Pip who walks into the mansion of a noblewoman, Havisham, and
meets the love of his life, Estella. But Havisham trained her adopted
daughter Estella to be a tool for revenge against men in order to
release the hurt she had suffered in love. From then on, the
pure-hearted Pip wanted to be a "superior man", and only a
noble status could make him a good match with Estella. It happened that
Magwitch, the prisoner whom Pip had rescued, had made a fortune, and
Magwitch secretly commissioned a lawyer to make Pip a real
"gentleman". But when Magwitch was caught, all the money was
confiscated and Pip got into a lot of debt. During the crisis, Pip's
brother-in-law, Joe, quietly paid off Pip's debts. Pip returns from
being a "gentleman" to his true status and finds his lost
friendship. In the end, Estella is reborn in her miserable life and
walks hand in hand with Pip in the dim moonlight.
