Based on the close relationship between school and society, School and Society reveals that education should start from the instincts and needs of children, and highlights the importance of activities related to children's direct experience and social life and family life.

First of all, Dewey pointed out that education should pay attention to students' personality and interests. Secondly, Dewey said that education should be a continuation of social life.
