School is Society
橙橙橙4
Dewey's "School and Society" is, I think, an answer to these
questions: what is interest, what is the appropriate curriculum, what
is classroom and society, what is the application of interest in the
classroom (and the application of active work). We have learned Dewey
said that education is life 9, school is society, the specific is to let
the school to reproduce the situation that may happen in the society,
with the life of the classroom to teach students how to use knowledge in
life, SO that the school can become a vivid social life of the real
form, or the prototype of social life. In Dewey's conception, schools
are no longer isolated learning institutions or places that do not hear
things outside the window. Schools (in my opinion, under universities)
have stepped out of the so-called academic barrier and stepped out of
the isolation from life. In order to achieve this goal, the first thing
is to reform the curriculum and use new teaching methods to guide the
operation of the school.
