The Little Prince
The Little Prince is a tale for bothchildren and adults. The Little Prince is thestory of a man who crashes his airplaneinto the desert only to meet a traveling boyfrom a small planet. The boy inquires abouttrees and sheep, shares his journeys andvarious encounters, and then leaves.Yet,reading between the lines, the story offersa much more complex, eiching, satisfyingand eye-opening moral: what matters inife is love - and caring about someone orsomething and maintaining thatrelationshipThe prince loves his roseenough to care for it every night byprotecting it with a glass globe andrequesting a muzzle for his sheep.Heknows that the rose is naive with only fourpurposeless thorns and, out of his loyaltyto her, it is his duty to protect her.Likewisethe narrator loves the prince and feels anobligation to secure his safe journey home
I read this book as a child and wasinfected with a sense of awe and anewfound respect for the written word andits power to touch, heal and changeperception. For myself, it accomplished twothings; it instilled in me a desire to one day become a writer and touch others withmy words and like the narrator of the storyand Antoine De Saint-Exupery(whose ownplane crash is said to have been the basisfor the tale) it instilled within me a hope.
become a writer and touch others withmy words and like the narrator of the story, and Antoine De Saint-Exupery (whose ownplane crash is said to have been the basisfor the tale) it instilled within me a hopethat one day the Little Prince will returnand someone will let me know.
What is the meaning of this tale? Easilysaying is that the tale talk about manynormal things like morals and principlesand values from two different butsuccessive way as children and adults.Asthe narrator said you can only catch adultsattention by describing the price ofsomething or saying the number ofsomething.lt's hard to make adults feellovely by the children's beautifuldescribing. That is the reason why manyadults believe this tale is a tale for adults.
Being insincere and utilitarian, adultsconsider useful and kids think sinful.Freespirit and free heart, adults consider
absurd and children believe necessaryTheamazing point is that these two differentbeliefs are held by one species-Human.When we were young, we could seeanything God want us to see.But afterdecades, what we could see was onlysomething we need to see.
There are so many good things forchildren and their imagination. And thereare not so many things for adults and theirreality.
