The author, Mark Twain, also likes to "criticize" the society at that time in the book. He wrote a lot of plotlines that make people angry and amused at the same time. For example, two swindlers pretend to be nobles and deceive the people in the town, making fools of them all. This actually shows that there are many false things in life, and we need to learn to distinguish them and not be easily deceived.
