The Wonderful
Kiki
The reason why this book has become an enduring classic is not only
because of its wonderful adventure plots, but also because of the
philosophy of life it conveys. During her journey, Dorothy gradually
realized the warmth and preciousness of home. Even though the Land of Oz
was full of wonders, it could not replace the position of her hometown
and family in her heart. This makes us realize that no matter how far we
go, home will always be a haven for the soul. The growth of the
characters in the book is also highly inspiring. The Scarecrow always
thought he was brainless, but he came up with many good ideas during the
journey, which shows that wisdom is not just a pile of knowledge, but
the ability to solve problems. The Tin Man longed for a heart, but in
reality, he was full of compassion and knew how to care for others -
true love is respect and concern for life. The Lion seemed timid, but he
could always muster the courage to protect everyone at critical moments
- courage does not mean being fearless, but choosing to move forward in
the face of fear. Their experiences tell us that everyone has unlimited
potential, and as long as we bravely try and take positive action, we
can discover a stronger version of ourselves.
