The story's background is in the France. The first character is Valjean, a poor boy. He wanted to steal some food for her sister's children. Unfortunately, he was arrested and in prison for nineteen years. After releasing, he came to the Bishop of Digne. He came out a bad idea, stealing the silver plates and two silver candlesticks. Actually, he did. However, when he was arrested again, the Bishop said it was he that give Valjean freely. Then, Valjean built a factory, which helps many poor people to land up a job, including Fantine. Fantine, a beautiful lady, believed in a bad man, having a daughter. But, the man left her, so only a poor woman and a young girl in France. Miserably, the law is unfair to Fantine. In order to find a job, she had to put her daughter to Monsieur Madeleine. Fantine didn't know her daughter living a hard and poor life. Eventually, Fantine dead, and she asked Valjean to help her daughter, Cosette. In the fact, Valjean did it. He took Cosette, living in a remote place. Actually, Valjean always lived in the horror. If he found something strangely, he would move to another place at once. Marius, a poor boy, fell in love with Cosette. They met secretly at night. At that time, France broke out rebellion. And Marius are one of them. Accidentally, Valjean found Javert, saved him and requested him to arrest next time. But Javert trapped into a dilemma. He was believed in law, but Valjean saved his life. Finally, he choose to kill himself. At the end of the story, Cosette and Marius lived happily.
