The past must not be the prison of the future.

This book made me deeply contemplate a profound question: should a
person's past forever define their future?Valjean's transformation from
a convict to a compassionate man moved me immensely. When he sacrificed
everything for a stranger like Cosette, I saw the brightest light of
humanity shining through the darkness. Characters like Fantine and even
Inspector Javert, all struggling within their own circumstances, made me
reflect on how we should live to make our lives meaningful.Closing the
book, Hugo's words continue to echo in my mind. We may not face the same
extreme hardships as the characters, but everyone has their own battles.
This novel taught me that true growth means choosing love and kindness,
even after seeing the harshness of life. At this age full of
possibilities, I want to carry this lesson with me—to bravely pursue my
dreams while gently seeking to understand the world and the people in
it. Les Misérables is more than a classic; it's a timeless lesson in
empathy and resilience.
