Pride and Prejudice is a classic novel written by Jane Austen. It tells
the love story of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy among the marriages of
the Bennet daughters. At first, Darcy is proud because of his noble
status, while Elizabeth has prejudice against him due to
misunderstandings. Through many encounters, they gradually see each
other's true selves. Darcy lets go of his arrogance and improves
himself, and Elizabeth gets rid of her prejudice and learns to
understand others. Finally, they break the class gap and fall in love.
The novel not only describes a sweet love but also criticizes the
marriage based on money and status. It tells us that true love comes
from the harmony of souls. Austen’s writing is vivid and humorous,
making Elizabeth’s independent and smart image deeply rooted in people’s
hearts. This book teaches me not to judge others by first impressions.
We should know people with our hearts. It also shows that real equality
is spiritual resonance, and we should follow our hearts in love and life.
