This book Translation Error Analysis is written by Chen Dezhang, a famous professor from Beijing Foreign Studies University. It collects 259 short essays and focuses on common translation mistakes Chinese students often make. While reading it, I find it really practical and helpful. The book not only points out typical mistranslations but also explains basic translation theories, methods and differences between Chinese and English languages. It helps me realize many small errors I used to ignore in my own translation practice. Professor Chen uses clear examples to show how to choose proper words and polish sentences. I have learned to avoid careless mistakes and think more logically when translating. This book teaches me that good translation needs accuracy, carefulness and a deep understanding of both languages. In short, it is a great guide for English learners. It improves my translation skills and makes me more careful and professional in language learning.
