Book review of the great Gatsby
用户866785
I have read The Great Gatsby, a classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Set in the 1920s, it tells the story of Gatsby and his lifelong love for
Daisy. Gatsby becomes wealthy and hosts fancy parties all the time,
hoping to win Daisy back. He firmly holds on to his sweet old dream. Yet
Daisy chooses her husband in the end. Gatsby’s dream fades away, and he
has a tragic ending. I feel pity for Gatsby. He is honest and
warm-hearted, but he lives in an illusion. The book shows that money
cannot buy true love and happiness. Many rich people are selfish and
indifferent. From this story, I learn that we should face reality
bravely and stop chasing impossible dreams. It is really a meaningful book.
