The Great Gasby

The Great Gatsby, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is a famous American
novel set in the Jazz Age. It tells the tragic story of Gatsby, a poor
young man who becomes rich just to win back his old lover Daisy.
Gatsby holds a pure dream and chases the green light across the river
all his life. However, Daisy and the upper class are cold and selfish.
His dream finally breaks completely. To me, Gatsby is
"great" because he never gives up his hope. Yet his story
shows that wealth cannot buy true love, and blind obsession with the
past leads to pain. This book warns us not to lose ourselves in empty
fantasies. It still offers valuable lessons for readers today.
