Book Review: The Old

The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway tells the story of an old fisherman Santiago, who fights bravely against a giant marlin and the cruel sea. Though he finally only brings back the fish skeleton, he never gives up. This book teaches us that a man can be destroyed but not defeated. Santiago’s strong will touches me deeply. It shows true courage is to keep struggling even when we know we may fail. It is a classic worth reading.
