The Scarlet Letter B

The Scarlet Letter Book Review The Scarlet Letter, written by Nathaniel Hawthorne, is a famous American classic novel that explores sin, guilt, courage and redemption. The heroine Hester Prynne is forced to wear a red letter “A” as a symbol of shame. Facing public humiliation and severe social prejudice, she does not break down. Instead, she lives bravely, works diligently and helps others selflessly. Gradually, she turns the symbol of disgrace into a mark of strength and respect. The book reveals the cruelty of old social rules and reflects human’s inner struggle between morality and desire. It tells me that true goodness lies in taking responsibility for mistakes. It is a thoughtful and impressive literary masterpiece.
