Alice's Adventures in Won
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is full of imaginary and it is very interesting, however we couldn't quite precisely summarize the main purpose of the book,we couldn't even be sure about if it is a fairy tale or a sagacious critical novel, the whole book is mysterious just like the story.
What we could know,is that Alice is truly a brave, kind, clever little girl and full of curiosity and this character clearly seize the audience eyes. The little girl see a rabbit with a watch and could talk like human,so she goes after the strange and amazing rabbit into a extremely hole. While, will you jump into this hole,I don't think so,but she just don't hesitate about doing that. And that's when her amazing adventures in wonderland begin.
The character I like most is the Cheshire Cat.He is strange enough in appearance because he grins all the time, right,he doesn't just smile he grins, and it has a super power,he can vanish in the air and end with his grin,I think it is very magical and amazing.
One of the most attractive feature about the book is that it contains lots of amazing character, and they all can talk, but understanding them is totally another concerning. Most of the character talk as if they are all go out of their mind and it seems that they are all mad. They talk illogically and full of nonsense and usually change to another subject, and the poor Alice had to talk to all of them patiently to get useful information. And I found that their words aren't as easy and simple as they seem to be.There are some wisdom and metaphors and satires in it.For example,in a talk between the Cheshire Cat and Alice,Alice ask which way she ought to go from there."That depends a good deal on where you want to get to","I don't much care where.""Then it doesn't matter which way you go.""so long as I get somewhere","If you only walk long enough, you are sure to do that"Then Cheshire Cat claims that they all go mad including Alice and we can't run away from them.I like this dialogue very much. The way the Cat talk is special, the cat seem to be reasonable and wise, and also it has some ridiculous thoughts, such as he claiming that he is mad because he has totally different customs with dogs and he think dogs aren't mad.
One more feature which makes this book so particular is that there isn't a clear story line,of course,it talks about the adventure of Alice but it relatives little between different event, which make this book kind of discrete,I'm not sure about this is a good way of telling this adventures of not,but I don't fell exciting as the story goes because the stories don't connected together, and in each scene,Alice meet strange character and have peculiar experience.
Another unexpected feature about this work is the writing technique of being absurd. In fact, this is not doubtful at all,all the character including Alice is full of absurd, and that is one important feature that make this book so special. And it is not just full of nonsense,it reflect the society in that time, the Victorian time,I think it satirize the queen of Victorian too.The Queen in the book enjoy ordering others to kill people, however they never really be killed, what's more ironical, the queen of Victorian enjoy reading this book very much, and ask the servant to give her the latest book whenever the author publishes it,and it turns out to be an extremely boring math treatise, that's funny.
I would like to tell you how much I learn from this or some thoughtful wisdom I get. However I just having fun reading it frankly,I don't really think the author want to teach us some important morality and make the world a better place. In fact he create this because he want to tell her girlfriend an interesting story, and obviously he is specialize in doing this,he mainly just want to create a wonderland full of imaginary, not a fairy tale. The author is a math professor in Cambridge university, and he never dream of writing a novel, let alone the novel become one of the most successful best-seller,so when I read it,I don't fell like I learn many wisdom in life and I truly don't need to do so,I could just enjoy the inconceivable wonderland along with the Alice and maybe laugh and be amazed about the adventures and adore the great imagination the author has.So I would more likely to describe this book as a innovate boldly art rather than a fairy tale or a novel,it is pure art without teaching you anything morally but offering an wonderful imaginary world.
