Lewis Carroll,whose real name is Charles Lutwidge Dodgson,was a Mathematician,fair tale writers and pastor.Alice’s adventure in wonderland,his masterpiece,was finished in 1865.Lewis was skilled at describing childish world through fantastic plots.Because of this,his fair tales are cherished by adults and kids and have been translated into many kinds of languages since their publishment.
Alice’s adventure in wonderland is full of imagination.A little girl named Alice falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world while chasing a talking white rabbit.In that world,everything seems strange.For example,drinking water will make you small as a rat and then you will be a giant after having a cake.Our little girl meets numerous people and animals there,including the mouse,mad hatter,march hare,the Cheshire cat,the Duchess and so on.What’s more,she also meets many alive playing cards in a big garden behind a tiny door.The Queen of heart enjoys beheading people and the king of hearts,foolish but caring,always follows his wife.Kind Alice helps the rabbit to find the lost fan and gloves and saves three gardeners.She also protest against the king and the queen,because they frame clean people up.In the world,Alice is the only one who is sober.She keeps growing up and look for herself.At last,when she becomes a real woman,she wakes up.It`s just a dream.
As far as my concern goes,Alice’s adventure in wonderland is one the most fantastic fair tales in the world.First of all,let’s focus on the heroine,Alice.I think,she is a beautiful girl having the spirit of democracy,justice and humanity.And meanwhile,the writer also give her the characteristics that a kid should have,she is easy to cry and like to show off her knowledge,but sometimes wrong.What’s more,what makes the fair tale be etched in stone for eternity is its absurd fantasy. Actually,what the writer wrote is to insinuate the society then.We can feel the pedantic atmosphere in that time through what Alice sees.Moreover,its humorous words also attract readers much.They reminds us that what we are reading is an interesting fair tale.
