According to the author, the aim of his creating this chapter was mostly because he found himself burdened with too much pressure in composing such a long story of adventure, so he wanted to figure out a way to end up the epic of a great hero. However, thousands of fans were dissatisfied with the ending and they expressed their displeasure and dissenting opinions towards Conan Doyle. Gradually, the author realized that the situation was beyond his control and therefore, the fifth part of the book was published in few months later. And this also showed us the supreme achievement of the great man.
