用户668886
In the presence of Rochester, Jane never feels inferior because she is a lowly governess, but thinks that they are equal. She should not be disrespected because she is a servant. It was also because of her integrity, nobility, purity, and spirit not polluted by the secular society that Rochester was shocked and regarded her as a person who could talk to him spiritually as an equal, and gradually fell in love with her.
