    as far as I read the book , It mentions a lot of traditional chinese culturwhich may be challenging fornon-chinese readers to fully grasp because of the local expressions. The book take many examples and explain these expression gradually. Every example is vivid and typical enough toexpress the Chinese culture. These entertaining and educative words describe a wonderful trame to readers.

    So far as I have read,this book talked in details about Chinese culture.It is sure that some expressions will confuse non-Chinese readers,after all,as a Chinese myself,I sometimes can not understand what it means.When I meet the words I can not understand,I will first try to look at the pictures for the paragraph.However,the pictures always fail me.So I turned to translation.But soon I found it is an even worse way.Because most of time,the translation is twisted.So at last,I come back to the following and foward paragraphs.That is really an efficent way.

    Although I just finish reading this book quickly, I still feel proud of our Chinese culture and traditional Chinese philosophy. However, owing to development of the western countries, Chinese philosophers' views always are ignored. In my view, our local ideas have special role to solve a lot of problems in China even in the world. For example,  the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence which is put forward by Zhou Enlai.

    Different traditional ideas and cultural differences may cause non_Chinese readers problems in understanding,in the process of translation between Chinese and English there will be troubles.To address these challenges,writers seize the characteristics of Chinese culture,with typical examples to illustrate,and the core value of Chinese to be contained.

    There are many words translated from Chinese.For instance,Confucius's equation of Heaven,ren and li.Laozi'sphilosophy of naturalness and Non-action.These are easy to see in Chinese but hard to fully grasp in English.The book clearly enunciated its definition in simple words to help us understand them.
