黎佳静Wuthering Heights has been owned by the Earnshaw family for centuries. Heathcliff's origins and background are rather mysterious. He was adopted from Liverpool by old Mr Earnshaw, and grew up with his son. However, after his friendship with Catherine gradually deepens, things begin to get complicated. Catherine develops strong feelings for Heathcliff, but because of his low birth, she eventually chooses to marry Sir Hindley. This decision took a great toll on Heathcliff, causing him to be angry and vengeful. Old Mr Earnshaw was conflicted with Heathcliff. Although he treats Heathcliff as his own child, he also inflicts harsh punishments and unjust treatment on him. These experiences gradually made Heathcliff cold and heartless.
