Views on The Chinese Woman(决赛作品)
In the chapter of The Chinese Woman, it says in the classical Chinese, in what the Mr. Gu has called the keeper of the provision room - a mistress of the kitchen. Indeed ,the woman is in charge of house while the man goes out to work. In the old society, I think, is a good arrangement in that case.
It always leave a vivid impression when I watch an ancient court soap opera that a woman is punished to copy "Lessons for Women, written by Ts’ao Ta Ku or Lady Tsao, sister of the great historian Pan Ku of the Han Dynasty.
Accordingly, I am not in the favor of concubinage at all despite Mr. Gu vividly explained the reasonability of it to readers , needless to say the woman must be selfless and not be hurt when the husband has a concubine which is called as a common behavior.
Today, the number of strong women is gradually increasing, the three obediences and four virtues have been the past tense. ln a word, girl should be strong!
