读后感《中国人的精神》

I haven’t read English books for a long time, but this winter holiday my teacher required me to read an English book. So at first I was a little not pleasure to read the book, but then I find the pleasure of books. The book’s name is <The Spirit of the Chinese People> which is wrote by Gu Hongming. Because I was not familiar to Gu, then I searched information about him to have a better understand of the book.
Here I would like to introduce the life of the author Gu hongming. Gu hongming has been studying abroad for more than ten years. He knows English, German, French, Latin, Greek, and other languages. This book is the most influential of all Gu hongmingʼs works, which can best reflect his thoughts. When I started to read the book, I find it is a little difficult for me because there too many words I didn’t know. Then I gradually could read the book by looking for the dictionary. I remember one sentence in the book: A real Chinese person has an adult mind and a childʼs heart.Therefore I supposed that the Chinese spirit is the spirit of eternal youth, is the national immortal spirit. When I after reading this book, I was lost in thought: what is the spirit of the Chinese people? During the anti-japanese period, Chinese people went through national disasters together, and overseas Chinese also responded one after another. I think this the Chinese spirit. Wenchuan earthquake, the whole of China to lend a helping hand. This is the Chinese spirit. The Chinese spirit has many meanings, different people have different ideas. We should be proud of that we are Chinese.
In the new era of reform and opening up, we young people should constantly cultivate the spirit of reform and innovation, improve the consciousness of innovation. In a word, I have gained a lot from the book the Chinse spirit, form which I can learn about the thoughts and lifestyles of people at that time, as well as their attitudes towards the west. However, in todayʼs globalized world, we need to make a dialectical analysis reflection. For the better development of the Chinese nation, it is necessary to be inclusive and to treat traditional culture and foreign culture objectively. Only in this way can we carry forward our national spirit with vitality. As the hope of our country, we should cultivate the spirit of Chinese from young age and pay attention to state affairs. We are also supposed to keep up with the development of The Times, constantly improve ourselves to be better. By reading this book, I learned a lot. We should actively take the responsibility to realize our own value, broaden our horizons to serve for our country, study hard to make contributions. We are proud that we are Chinese nationality, no matter when can not forget the Chinese nation.
