  Surprise: ice cream -- and two plates, one pink, one white,and cake, fruit, and charming French bonbons, with four beautiful bouquets of greenhouse flowers in the middle of the table. It was sent by old Mr Laurence. Hannah told one of his servants what they had done that morning. The old gentleman had a strange temper, but he was pleased to hear it. He sent a very kind note to Mrs March, saying that he hoped she would allow him to show her kindness to their children and give them some little Christmas presents.

  There was ice cream, actually two dishes of it, pink and white, and cake and fruit and distracting french bonbons and, in the middle of the table, four great bouquets of hot house flowers. Old Mr. laurence the laurence boy's grandfather send this. because of Mr. laurence was pleased with the girls. so he send them to express his friendly feeling toward for the girls.
