Beautiful Tuscany

I have finished reading Tuscany in Bloom. It is a bilingual book with many short warm essays, belonging to the Heart as a Garden reading series .

The book uses beautiful easy words to describe Tuscany in Italy. It writes about rolling hills, blooming flowers, warm sunshine and quiet country villages there. Besides nice natural views, most stories talk about ordinary people’s daily life . Some people face worries, loss and hard days, but they learn to slow down and enjoy small joys around them.

This book brings me two big gains. First, I learn many common English words and improve my reading skill. Second, it changes my attitude towards life. I used to hurry for grades and feel anxious easily. After reading, I know life does not need to be rushed. Peace of mind is more important than perfect results.

It is a gentle and meaningful book. I advise students to read it. It teaches us to find beauty in plain days and keep a soft, hopeful heart all the time.
