Book Review: The Little Prince
chocolateking
Written by Antoine de Saint‑Exupéry, The Little Prince is more than a
fairy‑tale for kids. It is a warm and thoughtful story for people of all
ages. A pilot whose plane breaks down in the Sahara Desert meets the
little prince, who travels from planet to planet. On his journey, the
prince meets many strange grown‑ups: a king, a vain man, a businessman
and others. All of them care about meaningless things and lose the
ability to feel with their hearts. Later on Earth, the fox tells him the
meaning of “taming” — to build a special tie with someone. Because of
the time he has spent on his rose, the rose becomes unique to him. The
famous line “What is essential is invisible to the eye” touches me
deeply. It reminds me not to chase material things blindly, but to value
love, trust and responsibility. Simple but powerful, this book is well
worth reading.
